If you prefer the buzz of a workplace atmosphere, we can include a month’s co-working pass, with either a fixed desk assignment of flex-desk. Bucharest’s many co-working spaces mean we can help you pick one that suits you not just in terms of location but also the kind of people you’ll be sharing office space with. That makes it an ideal way to meet locals too.

We can include a month’s membership at a well equipped gym close to your apartment in your Workation package to help you keep up good habits from home.

We are able to arrange a variety of experiences which will both immerse you in the local culture and provide unforgettable memories. Bucharest is known for it’s nightlife and music scene so we are happy to help you discover your talent with music or dance lessons.

Otherwise pick up a new language, perfect your favorite sport or try something new, indulge yourself in spa & wellness treatments or hire a business coach. The options are endless and we are happy to help you take full advantage of your time away.

Your first weekend: Getting to Know Bucharest

If you’ve been working hard all week, now is the time to appreciate your surroundings and mingle with the locals a little. Your local hero will already have pointed out some of the city’s popular spots for locals and foreigners. It being your first weekend, it’s time to do the touristy thing and we’ve got some suggestions for how to spend the whole day in and around Bucharest’s city center. Get your historical bearings on a city tour, check out some of Bucharest’s most impressive museums and the following day get deeper into Romanian culture on a street food tour.

There’s so much to see in Romania’s capital city. Bucharest has a big city feel, and mixes imposing communist architecture with reminders of the city’s happier fin-de-siecle zenith, when it was known as “The Little Paris.” On your first full day here, we recommend a five-hour private city tour with a local guide, who will help you get your bearings and learn about Bucharest’s rich history.

Bucharest has a wide variety of museums that help you better understand Romania’s intriguing cultural and historical background. If you’d like to learn more about Romania’s troubled communist era, a visit to the former residence of Dictator Nicolae Ceausescu is a great option.

The Village Museum is an open-air reconstruction of the authentic Romanian village, spanning from late medieval to modern era, and features hundreds of structures brought from each major historical province.

The Romanians may live far to the east of their fellow Romance-speaking relatives, but they have a similar joie-de-vivre and religious devotion for good food. Living at the crossroads of Eastern, Southern, and Central Europe, their cuisine has diverse influences, with elements from Russia, Serbia, the Austro-Hungarian empire, and the Ottomans. Take a walk in and around the Old Town and let your guide introduce you to a world of local treats: traditional pastry, local fast food booths, old-fashioned grocery stores and more. There will be many stories about cuisine and local culture and the talented street food chefs will treat you with dishes you never had before!
